I bought these for my boy friend to use on his bike and he loves them. He told me this was the "best gift ever". I read the other reviews before I purchased and then called Master Lock to check on the guarantee. They told me it covers up to $3000 in lost property but you need to have proof of purchase and a value of the lost item. They said they have had people try to scam them by getting Master Lock to pay for something they did not lock. I do not know how you would prove what you used the lock to secure?
Like the other reviewer said "locks only keep the honest people honest".
The quality of the lock is what I care about and this is high quality.
