Saris Thelma 3 Bike Universal Hitch Review

The Thelma arrived the day AFTER i ordered it. Now i see why [...] has a 100% satisfaction rating.

The rack works very well on my small car - Honda Fit, have used it numerous times already. It is easy and fast to load/unload and put on and take off the car.

The nuts and spacers for the third bike wheels were missing. Called Saris and they sent three complete sets of bolts/nuts and spacers which arrived in only three days.

Softride 25863 Access Dura 2" Bike Rack Review

I did lots of research on what stand to buy. I was looking for a 4 bike rack that would allow me to have access to the back of our SUV. Then my neighbor bought the Thule Revolver. That was my other choice if I wasn't going to get this rack. So I was able to actually lift and use the Revolver. I bought this rack (the Softride). And both my neighbor and I agreed that the softride is better. He actually wished that he had NOT bought the Revolver. This rack is way less expensive and works more easily than the revolver. The Revolver is great, but it's really heavy to put on the car and requires 3 steps to swing the bikes away. The SoftRide moves down out of the way with just one pin pull. And it's the only rack that folds down (rather than swings away) that allows you to move it down WITH THE BIKES ON THE RACK. The Thule racks (like the Ridgeline) are not intended for you to swing the rack down while the bikes are mounted. Also, when you are not using the rack, you can remove the arms very easily. This is preferable to just folding them down (like most other racks do) because then the mounting accessories are not hanging on the back of your car where they could be stolen off the rack. So ... I highly recommend this rack. It's a sleek and functional design that does not put un-needed bulk on the back of your vehicle. Go ahead and buy it. You'll be happy.

Allen Universal Stainless Steel Locking Hitch Pin for 2-Inch or 1 1/4-Inch Receiver Hitches Review

I bought this because I was told by someone at the R. A. Allen Co. that this would work with their Bike Rack, model 440RR.It turns out that I was lied to or was given an answer by someone who did not know anything.It does NOT work with Allen's own bike rack!!!!!The cylinder is too thick (i.e. the diameter of the cylinder is too wide) to fit through the hitch insert hole.

This item will NOT work with Allen Bike Racks and company will not return your phone call or help you in any way!!!!!(I called them twice and left two messages with an Alex, who has never returned my phone call.)

I will never buy another item from the R. A. Allen Co. again.

About Allen Bike Racks
In 1967, after a few years of working on the aerospace technology for the Apollo missions, Dick Allen was out of a job. Government cutbacks led Allen, a Harvard-trained physicist, to transform his garage hobby into a new industry. A cycling enthusiast, inventor, and family man, Allen had a personal need for a bike-carrying device. On weekends, he would take his sons and wife to Cape Cod or the White Mountains of New Hampshire. What proved difficult time and again was the transport of his family's bicycles. Built a new bike last fall and needed a new bike rack to travel in style. The T-Rax Pro is the bomb! Love everything about this rack. Easy to assemble and install. Thule 982 Bicycle Frame Adapter for Strap and Hitch carriers Review

I purchased two Thule 982 Bicycle Frame Adapters for Thule 964 Revolver 4-Bike Hitch Mount Rack from the Amazon retailer, Rack Attack. PROS: 1) Because of the numerous different bicycle frame configurations, it will quickly become apparent to the strap/hitch carrier user that mounting the bicycles level is difficult. Attaching the Thule 982 Bicycle Frame Adapter ends to the bike's handle bar and seat stems will make this procedure much easier.For this application, the product seems well designed. CONS: 1) One of adapters I received from the Amazon retailer had rusted bolts while still inside the packaging! However, shortly after being exposed to the ouside environment during use, all the lock bolts on both adaptors quickly rusted. At the stated MSRP, stainless steel hardware would have been the fair and better choice. 2) The rubberized coating on the metal ends of the adaptors will ultimately tear or wear down due to use, UVA exposure, etc.. As a result, the exposed metal ends of the adaptors could damage the bike's finish. Take care to protect the rubberized coating during use and storage. In conclusion, it is my opinion that the Thule 982 Frame Adaptor is both a well designed and needed accessory for the strap/hitch carrier user.

Curt Manufacturing 18019 4 Bike Rack Folding 2X2 Receiver-Black Review

I agree with other review; plate that is suppose to secure bike to rack is for smaller framed bikes, which many bikes today are not smaller diameter bikes...wasted my money, ok for short hauls (5-10 miles), used it on one long haul and felt as if i needed to stop all the time and check it.had a similar bike rack that was excellent with one plate that secured all bikes instead of multiple plates and screws....very disappointed...would not recommend and should specify that it DOES NOT come with a hitch pin!!!!!!
