This rack is sturdy and easy to install. It carries my 16 ft canoe on my Explorer Sportrac with ease. My only gripe is that Thule uses a bolt with nut welded in the hole that fixes the hitch to the receiver. I prefer a plain hole so that I can put my locking mechanism in it. However, it is fairly easy to drill out the nut and use the lock instead.In my opinion, this and other Thule products are well built and a good value.
